Digitization of train-related documents

The archaic law blocks the digitization of railway. Pro Kolej Foundation proposes to amend the Resolution of the Minister for Transport of  2006 regarding train-related paper documents (railworthiness certificates, braking sheets, list of wagons in a trainset). Use of electronic versions of the said and also other similar documentation will increase transparency, efficiency and, as a result, safety of performed transport operations.

"Economy and Transport" conference

Pro Kolej Foundation has assumed patronage of the conference “Transportation and Economy,” which will be held on 18th May, 2015 at the Ministry of the Economy.  Topics of the event  include importance of rail transport in the energy sector, development of special economic  zones, public-private partnership and role of collective transport. The conference will be opened by Janusz Piechociński, Deputy Prime Minister and the Minister of the Economy. 

International Railway Journal: Andrew Goltz about Polish InterCity

On 14 December 2014, Poland’s long distance passenger train operating company, PKP InterCity, launched its brand new service Express InterCity Premium using seven-car Class ED250 Alstom-built  trainsets, and just one month later said goodbye to to its CEO Marcin Celejewski. In fact, Celejewski departure from the helm of IC had been on the cards for some time as he had failed in his main task of delivering cheap airline style demand-related pricing and had been unable to stem the haemorrhaging of passengers.
